DAM Begins Recording New Album

London's DAM have entered the studio to record their as-yet-untitled second album for a 2007 release via Candlelight Records.

Commented guitarist/vocalist Nathan: "We laid down the drum tracks, bass tracks and some initial guitars last weekend at Eastcote Studios in London. The studo is in the area where the Notting Hill carnival took place: it was total unadulterated madness. We were effectively under siege, and I think this contributed to the intensity of the session. We practically came to blows on more than one occasion, but everyone ended up venting their aggression and frustration in their performances."

Drummer Gomez added: "The sound is already far cleaner and better defined than the last opus. I don't think we could have had a better drum sound if we'd gone to Studio Fredman! The material itself is intense, catchy, technical when it needs to be and simple when the music calls for it. There's lots of DEATH, MORBID ANGEL, EMPEROR, SUFFOCATION in there and mostly a lot of DAM. I'm very proud of this: we're putting a lot of work and energy into it, and I'm confident it's going to be a very strong release."
