DEICIDE: 'Stench Of Redemption' Tracking Nearly Completed

Florida-based death metal act DEICIDE have been putting in long hard hours at Morrisound studios in Tampa to get everything down on tape for their new album and are in the final stages of tracking now. As of Thursday (March 30), all the vocal tracks have been laid down in addition to the previously completed rhythm and lead guitar tracks and drums. Vocalist Glen Benton is currently mulling over the recorded vocals to see if there are any portions of the recording that he'd like to thicken up or re-track in order to improve the overall performance. Along with that, bass tracks should be finished as well by the time you are reading this. DEICIDE will add the finished touches to the album and then move on to the next stage of mixing as early as this weekend. The album, titled "The Stench of Redemption", is slated for June 6 release via Earache Records.

"The Stench of Redemption" marks the first recording outing with the new DEICIDE lineup following the departure of the Hoffman brothers. Both Benton and drummer Steve Asheim are confident that Jack Owen (ex-CANNIBAL CORPSE) and Ralph Santolla (ex-ICED EARTH, DEATH) will outdo guitar tracks from the previous albums.
