PRIMAL FEAR To Make 'Huge Announcement' In Coming Weeks

According to a posting on PRIMAL FEAR bassist Mat Sinner's official web site, PRIMAL FEAR will be making a "huge announcement" in the coming weeks. The band recently completed a Japanese tour and are preparing for a number of festival appearances during the summer.

In other news, Mat's long-running SINNER project "will be revamped during the summer and we're thinking about [signing] a new record deal and recording a new album," according to Mat.

Also on the Sinner-related front, SHIVA — the reformed band featuring Sinner and former ATROCITY drummer Martin Schmidt — are in the process of mixing their new album. "To prevent any name problems, we decided to change the band's name to GODDESS SHIVA, even if we maybe have longer rights than any other band on this planet! " said Mat. "A recording contract is very close to be signed within the next days!"

PRIMAL FEAR's latest album, "Seven Seals", entered the German national album chart at position No. 65 last October. The follow-up to 2004's "Devil's Ground" was produced by Sinner, along with Charlie Bauerfeind (BLIND GUARDIAN, HALFORD, HAMMERFALL), at the House of Music studio near Stuttgart, Germany, and was mixed at the Warehouse studio in Vancouver, British Columbia with Mike Fraser (AC/DC, METALLICA, COVERDALE/PAGE, SLIPKNOT, AEROSMITH, THE CULT).
