PRIMER 55 Parts Ways With Singer, Announces Replacement

PRIMER 55 has parted ways with vocalist Jason "J-Sin" Lutrell and has replaced him with Heath Joyce of the band IGM.

Commented guitarist Bobby Burns (also bassist in SOULFLY): "It's been great for Toomey [bassist Josh Toomey] and I to be back out playing the tunes for you all and we've had a blast doing it and it's sparked something inside of us and we plan to continue on for the love of the music and our fans.

"I know, I know, a lot of people are gonna be like, 'It wont be the same without [Jason],' and you're totally right it won't be — IT'S GONNA BE BETTER!

"One of my bros from back in my days in Memphis is has stepped in (to fill some big shoes, mind you) and it's fuckin great!"

PRIMER 55's new CD/DVD, entitled "Family For Life", came out on November 6 via Crash Music. The package was released on a flip disc (audio/DVD) and features a collection of unreleased tracks, as well as rare concert footage and backstage scenes from three concerts including Ozzfest.
